Alton High School

 

 

Mrs. Giertz graduated from the University of Illinois in 1990 with a B.S. in Business Education.  She spent 16 years in the retail industry as a buyer for Ventures Stores, Edison Bros. (5-7-9) and May Merchandising Company including overseas importing experience.

 

She has been teaching at AHS since 2007 and teaches Accounting 1 & 2, Consumer Education, Business and Technical Concepts A & B, and Keyboarding.  Mrs. Giertz is also the sponsor for the Rotary Interact Club, which is a service program for young adults which focuses on community projects both locally and around the world.

 

Jeff Warren graduated from Alton High School in 1987.  He continued his education at Ranken Technical College where he graduated in 1989.  Mr. Warren was been employed at Bridgestone/Firestone and Ranken Technical College before joining the JB Johnson staff in 1993.

 

Currently, Mr. Warren teaches Automotive Technology 1 & 2, Basic Auto, and Intro to Technology A & B.

 

Mr. Salanitro graduated from Monmouth College (2003) with a major in Economics/Business Administration and a minor in History.  He also holds a Business Administration degree and Secondary Education Certificate from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville.

 

Currently, Mr. Salanitro teaches Business Law, Business Management, Consumer Education, Computer Concepts and Free Enterprise.  Next year he plans on adding an Entertainment and Sports Marketing class.
